3D and 2D Animated Explainer Videos

I created these explainer videos to help early-stage entrepreneurs better understand key business concepts through clear, concise storytelling. Each video uses a mix of dialogue, visuals, and pacing designed to simplify complex ideas and support learning transfer.

Built in WeAre Learning (3D) and Vyond (2D), my approach remained consistent: design content that’s instructionally sound, visually engaging, and learner-focused.

🧠 Learning Goal Alignment & Content Analysis

  • Focused each video on simplifying complex curriculum content that learners found challenging.

  • Reviewed SME input, curriculum outlines, and learner feedback to identify knowledge gaps and areas needing reinforcement.

  • Used the analysis to define a clear learning objective for each video.

  • Prioritized concepts that required real-world application or deeper learner reflection.

  • Ensured every video supported comprehension and engagement, not just content delivery.

🎬 Storyboarding

  • Created a text-based outline to plan how each concept would unfold visually and narratively.

  • Mapped the sequence of ideas, visuals, and transitions to maintain logical flow and support learner comprehension.

  • Identified key moments for emphasis, such as examples, visual cues, or on-screen text.

  • Aligned each scene with the learning objective, ensuring clarity and instructional value before scripting or animation began.

✍️ Narrative Design & Scripting

  • Used a story-first approach to frame complex concepts through relatable scenarios or problem-solution setups.

  • Wrote scripts with a focus on instructional clarity, pacing, and flow, ensuring learners could follow along easily.

  • Aligned language and tone with the course’s terminology and learning goals, avoiding vague or generalized phrasing.

  • Structured each script to include narration or voiceover that guided the learner through key ideas in a logical sequence.

🛠️ Animation Development & Editing

I created and improved each explainer video using WeAre Learning (for 3D) and Vyond (for 2D). My process included:

  • Building scenes with the right characters, actions, and backgrounds to match the message.

  • Matching animation to voiceover or on-screen text so everything flows clearly.

  • Adjusting timing to keep the video easy to follow and not too fast.

  • Checking the learning content to make sure it’s correct and makes sense.

  • Making the video easy to read and watch, including font size, speed, and layout.

  • Editing and improving based on feedback from the program design lead.

🎯 Outcome

The result was concise, visually rich explainer videos that distilled complex ideas into digestible learning moments. Whether introducing a new concept, reinforcing a tricky distinction, or guiding learners through a decision-making process, my explainer videos were designed to leave an engaging and effective learning experience.
