I had the privilege of speaking at a webinar hosted by the OLxD Community, where I shared ideas on how we can apply brain science to make learning experiences more effective and lasting.
We explored how understanding how the brain processes information, from attention and motivation to emotion and memory, can transform the way we design learning. I shared practical strategies for managing cognitive load, designing for retrieval and reflection, and using storytelling to deepen engagement.
The discussion reinforced a key message I often share with L&D teams: impactful learning happens when we align design decisions with how the brain actually learns.
I’m grateful to the OLxD community for creating such a vibrant space for learning designers to exchange insights and elevate our collective practice.
